Meruem vs Perfect Cell: Who Would Win?

Anime fans love debating legendary villains, and few matchups are as interesting as Meruem from Hunter x Hunter versus Perfect Cell from Dragon Ball Z.

Both characters were created to be the “perfect lifeform.” Meruem was born as the Chimera Ant King, naturally superior in strength, intelligence, and evolution. Cell, on the other hand, was engineered using the DNA of elite fighters like Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Frieza to become the ultimate warrior.

However, their personalities are very different.

Meruem eventually became more human. Through Komugi, he learned compassion, emotion, and humility, making him one of anime’s most tragic villains.

Cell never changed emotionally. He remained arrogant, obsessed with proving his superiority through destruction and combat.

When it comes to power, though, the difference is massive.

The world of Hunter x Hunter is much more grounded, while Dragon Ball Z operates on planet-destroying levels of strength. Perfect Cell possesses insane speed, regeneration, ki attacks, and destructive power capable of threatening entire planets and beyond.

Meruem is incredibly powerful in his own universe, but Cell simply operates on another scale.
