Arbetter's Hot Dogs was opened in 1959 by Bob and Flaminia Arbetter, starting as a humble hot dog stand on Flagler Street. From there, it moved to SW 8th Street and eventually found its permanent home on Bird Road in 1971, where it has stayed ever since, quietly becoming one of Miami’s most recognizable local institutions.
